Catherine Shanahan Maurer, died on Sept. 7, 2008

Hi Dan, I wanted you to know that Mom''s sister, Catherine Shanahan Maurer, died on Sept. 7, 2008 in Jacksonville. She was buried in Calvary Cemetery on Sept. 10. I had mentioned to you before that she had been very ill for several weeks. She was 93 and Richard''s first cousin. That leaves only two living first cousins for Richard: Irene Shanahan Hoffman, age 91 and John Paul Sheehan, age 88. Some of Richard''s cousins'' spouses are also still living: Bernie Shanahan''s wife Marge, Catherine Shanahan Maurer''s husband Eddie, Edna Shanahan Bell''s husband John, Bobby Sheehan''s wife Marjorie, and Donnie Sheehan''s wife Carol. Those are the ones in Jacksonville that I know about. There may still be some spouses of cousins from Aunt Kate in Minnesota area or Uncle Dan in St. Louis area.
